There is something about newborn photographs in black and white that feels completely timeless. Without color competing for attention, the focus falls on the things that matter most: tiny features, soft expressions, little fingers and toes, and the connection between a new baby and the people who already love them so much.
For this Orlando newborn session, I chose to share the entire gallery in black and white. The simplicity felt perfect for these images and gave them the quiet, classic feeling I love in newborn photography.
Newborn sessions do not need elaborate props or complicated setups to be meaningful. Some of my favorite photographs are often the simplest ones: a baby curled comfortably in a parent’s arms, a sleepy stretch, tiny details, or those peaceful moments that happen naturally throughout the session.
After more than 13 years of photographing newborns and families, these little moments are still some of my favorites to capture. Babies change incredibly quickly, but photographs like these never really go out of style.
